The Tennis Center
Book a court time with friends or our staff will help you make the perfect match on and off courts with the latest in tennis fashion, equipment and accessories. Pick out and customize your new racquet or have your current racquet re-strung or re-gripped on site to stay at the top of your game.
Court Reservations
Court reservations may be made by Tennis Chelsea System, telephone or in the Tennis Shop.
The name of one of the players must be given when reserving court time.
Reservations may be made up to seven days in advance.
Reservations are processed first for those present, second for phone-ins and third by voice mail starting at 8:00 a.m.
All players must check in and register at the tennis shop ten minutes prior to their starting time or the court will be released to the first name on the waiting list.
A Pelican Sound photo Id membership card or a houseguest card are required.
At the end of the reserved period, players must promptly relinquish their courts to waiting players.
Once a Member has left a court, he or she may sign up for another available court that day.
For night play, the staff will post court reservation sheets on the outside and inside of the glass front door of the tennis shop. If players arrive without a reservation, they are to sign the reservation sheet for the court time used.
Singles and doubles may reserve a court for an hour and a half (except for certain times designated by the Director of Tennis when singles play may be limited).
Players may secure only one reservation time per day and cannot make additional reservations for members of their families or friends. Players may play a second time on the same day only if a court is available. Playing on a court constitutes having that court reserved.
Failure to cancel a reservation for a court or event by 8:00 a.m. on the day of play will result in the forfeiture of advance reservation privileges for one week or for the next event. There may also be a fee charged, if such is adopted by the Tennis Committee, and posted in the tennis shop.
Guests
Guests must either be accompanied by a member, have a houseguest card or be signed in by a Member. Their is a guest fee for tennis. Guests are not allowed to play between 9:00 a.m. and noon from November 1 through April 30.
